I bought myself a NIKON D40 ~two weeks ago.. and this are the first "good" results (my opinion)
I sure can improve some things so your turn! What can I change to make them better?

In my opinion, only the first is worth reshooting, the others are just a bit too boring for my liking.
I'd reshoot it so that you don't have the bush in the way on the left.

Hey there!

Photo #2:

You have a really slow shutter speed and your widest aperture for that zoom so thats good - and i assume you've used a tripod.

Only thing i can say is to maybe put your ISO to 400 or even 800 to help pick out the lights more and if you had used the wide angle setting you could have got a wider aperture, so to make the photo brighter.

The only thing i can say for #3 is that shutter speed is a little too fast for that light, id have maybe used 2 seconds but just play around with the shutter speed till you find whichever photo looks best.

But im only learning as well, so i hope what i have said has helped you!

Cheers smile.gif

Imo the only one worth keeping is #1. The first pic was really nice actually and I don't really think you need to reshoot it unless you are seeking absolute perfection.

i see dirt in the first and last pic in exact same spot, its around 0.5cm(on my screen) bit darker round spot quite close to left upper corner. Looks more like its on the sensor, since it would need to be quite nasty stain in the rear lens if it was on the lens
