Hey guys :3 Thought I'd ask as I'm sure a lot of you have taken them / are knowledgeable on how. While I was out earlier today I tried my best to take action shots of ducks. Not necessarily the most intriguing subject but I needed to train on something ^^ Anyways I was wondering if anyone had any advice when it came to taking those really fast snaps like when you can basically see sharp water drops in the air? When I was trying it today I was shooting in iso 1,600 & shutter speed of 1/1000.
Thanks beforehand ^^
you should shoot on iso 100/200 all of the time, only increase the iso when its necessary. For general action 1/500+ is enough but for super fast action you should go above that. If you are shooting a car or somthing real fast in action, move the camera with the object, this will keep the object in focus and the backround blurred. simply reduce your shutter speed to blur the backround more.
