Well I am sure most people in here can't really afford those full frame pro cameras but it's still interesting to read that Canon isn't that good after all sad.gif

oh lord. not the discussion about the highest megapixel cameras again tongue.gif I guess I have just seen too many of those kind of discussions in other forums and I believe for
most photographers, at least amateurs like me, the high resolution of some of the new DSLRs aren't really that interesting. Sure you may be able to crop more and print larger
posters but how many of us have ever really needed to do that.

Anyway tongue.gif I created this thread just to make some of you guys drool lol because I know if I had enough money now or the patience to wait a few months I would definitely get a full frame dslr, either 5D mkII or D700. Oh well I guess I'll just keep dreaming haha

Start off a lil smaller for your first SLR lol. Hell, I'm learning new stuff about my camera all the time, and then I turn around a corner and find a whole new other area I had no clue my camera had.

haha yeah I know what you mean but it's kinda tempting not to look at those pro cameras and I guess it's a guy thing, well you know us guys and machines and nerdy technical stuff lmao. But you are right, I mean to me dslrs are like a magic box course you discover and learn new stuff everytime you use it and I think during the few months I had my 40D I learned more about photography than I ever did during the years I had my old point and the more I learned the more I wanted to go out and take photos and therefore gain even more knowledge smile.gif I think that's one of the reasons why I like photography so much, it's kinda addicting but in a good way. lmao

The hitler video made me lol xD When the girl whispers "Don't worry, I hear he only shoots in JPG anyways" haha. I've seen it before though somewhere else... I think it's a common dub.

Even though I'm a nikon user... def. have to admit that the 5d Mk II is the way to go. At the moment, im thoroughly unimpressed by Nikon's recent addition of the D3x (or rather its price tag. Check out Ken Rockwell's rant too lol)
