2.8 expensive lol.
whats so diff between 2.8 non is, and the f/4??
isnt f/4 better? i dunno much about f stops don't really use it much lol.
2.8 with is costs really much, but i looked and 2.8 without is is about same price as 4 with is, f-4 without is is way cheaper. f number says how wide open the lens is, smaller f-number = wider = more light to lens and smaller focused area(and naturally better bokeh too).
These are the f-numbers in the camera by 1/3rd stops bold are full stop numbers
1.0, 1.1, 1.2,
1.4, 1.6, 1.8,
2, 2.2, 2.5,
2.8, 3.3, 3.5,
4, 4.5, 5.0,
5.6, 6.3, 7.1,
8, 9, 10,
11, 13, 14,
16, 18, 20 and
22, adding one full stop it will make your light meter go down to -1(if it was on 0) and one 1/3rd stop will make it go down one of those small steps between -1 and 0, double the shutter speed(or double the iso) and it will be back on 0. So if u got some situation where light meter shows 0 and you use f-4 and 1/50th shutter speed, by changing to f-2.8 you can use 1/100th shutter speed with same light amount. Allso f-2.8 and iso 400 is same as f-4 and 800 iso, with same shutter speed on both.
