hey guys!

For the first time in my life I've heard something about HDR or especially about OPT(What looks like HDR but isn't wacko.gif )

(Look at wenspics@flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wenspics_-_wpt/)

does anybody here know, what exactly is HDR/OPT and explain me how to do something like it? Just for Information: I'm using Photoshop CS3, hope it will work with that

Here are some examples of OPT from wenspics page:

HDR meansHigh Dynamic Range Pictures.
You need a stative for it. You Take 3 pictures wich are the same
1 normal
1 to light
1 to dark

you can put those 3 pictures together with photoshop.
then you need a special programm to do some tonemapping (gives nice colors/shadows)
HDRs just look insane

OPT is her own version of HDR.

It stands for Optimally Processed Technique.

I personally can't see a difference between her "OPT" as she has coined the term and HDR.

Having worked with HDR you can make it very subtle, in-between (which is some her stuff) or extreme (the rest) - which tends to look almost cartoonish.
