regarding your pm:

I haven't really been looking at digital point and shoot camera so I dont know that much about them besides I dont think there are a lot of in depth review on those either since they are mostly just consumer cameras and not a lot of people who buy them care much about their true abilities or actually check online for good reviews unlike those more expensive DSLRs.

I think when it comes to cameras I think you should avoid those ultra compact ones course Ive heard the image quality of those ultra compact are really lousy, kinda like those built into cellphones

It seems that Canon maybe the best one. but it really depends on what you are going to use this camera for. If you just want to take portraits and snapshots I believe you should get Canon
