I've heard good reviews on it, it's around my price range that I want to spend for one of my first lens purchases. I think it's a great choice for my first lens, other than a kit lens. Have you guys used this lens or ever hear anything about it? smile.gif Feel free to share opinions, thoughts, other ideas, whatever. I am not buying this for another couple of months so we have lots of time haha.

i used to have that lens, its a great lens in every way other than it has pretty hard pincushion distortion at 10-14mm. I traded it to 85 1.8 since i felt like i dont really need that wide angle lens. Very sharp, good contrast, fast and accurate focus. I got some pics with it and 400d on my gallery. I can show unedited jpgs allso if u wanna see.

Took these with it.

I had this lens before going full frame with my old 5D.
It's a nice lens.

If I had to buy again I would get the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 for sure.

hahaha this one is so funny. btw it seems its even good for portrait shots and I thought those wide angle lenses would kinda enlarge parts of your face in close ups biggrin.gif

Lol. I was just using that link to show what lens I wanted. I can get the store here to order this lens for me. And I could also buy it form that store, via shipping!

Wow, very nice pictures! I am so far really excited to get this lens! smile.gif Thanks a lot for sharing the photos.

I was not sure what you meant by "pincushion" though?

pincushion distortion means that edges get streched and middle of the photo looks more far away.

hmm ive read that it could be software corrected by warping the image with a reverse distortion tongue.gif
