My apologies...

When I transfer my photos, they transfer the jpeg + the raw file automatically, and it all goes into a folder with a date, under my pictures. So when I go to that folder I see a Jpeg + a raw file there beside the jpeg photos. Maybe there's a way to use the Canon utility software to transfer them instead of going my computer > camera > etc ? I usually just use a software that puts them all on my computer. Hope this helps!

Eh, I don't tend to have a lot of knowledge about all the advice people ask here... so I kinda just stay out... I feel out of the loop.

I forgot to mention.. Marie, did your camera come with a disc of some sort? I probably have the same disc. But I installed it on my pc and whenever I connect my camera to my pc it automatically starts to read the files on my camera. It then asks me if I want to transfer all the pics, or just the new ones. Such a good feature since I don't have to actually go select the new ones it already knows which have been already transferred. It asks me this on the camera screen. If you could install that disc I think this would help you a lot!

11FPS shooting in crop mode, combined with stupidly high transfer rate card.

Okay that's perfect. Once you connect your camera to your pc, and then turn it on, click on the one that is eos utility. It SHOULD start to automatically "load" (red button on camera flashes or something to indicate its doing something). Then after its done "loading" your camera then should ask you if you want to upload all pics from your cam or just the newest ones. See if that works?

Edit: Lol - I realized you pm'd me and I gave a much more detailed explanation than what I had typed here (only because I was using my phone).

There is no RAW images/files anywhere to be found....
Is my camera broken?
Or are they being converted in jpg while being transfered?
I did an experiment and setted my camera to only shoot in RAW (I think that is what it was) and when I transfered the pics on the computer, they were in...... jpg...
WTF....

Usually raw files have same name as .jpegs, but with a .awr extention instead. In my cams, they are found side-by-side if you look at the memory card through windows explorer.

If you set it as raw type in your cam, abut you got jpeg, then it's a problem with your camera.
