that bw action is.. very bright..

Try hitting AUTO in the whitebalance module under DEVELOP in lightroom, then make your finer adjustments from there with temp/tint.

don't be afraid to use the curves feature too under DEVELOP, the lights slider will help you with skin tones ;)

Yeah, PTM tends to have very bright actions. Usually I end up erasing parts or lowering the op.

Err, I dont use lr remember? :P. But I do try the auto in raw, usually I dont like the result so I adjust the temp myself.

Its been a while since Ive tried to use it, but I remember I hated how it pulled the images up. Also it was just so completely different from photoshop..I seriously hate change

Btw I wanted to ask you another question (as if I dont ask you enough already) but what do you think of getting the 85mm 1.8 and the 135mm 1.2?

the 135 is f2
imo 135 is more suited to outdoor shoots, 85 better in studio's, either wat they are both AMAZING

Oops, my bad.

So that seems like it would be a good combo then? Im going to be adding more lights to my arsenal so that I can do more indoor stuff (mostly for fill light though, Id still be using natural light).

Also trying to get better at my editing, Ill just post stuff here. Before and after, the changes are pretty subtle but I hope they come through.

personally i would only get 1 of them, if you want it for indoor and out door i would go for the 85mm
although we are never happy with what we have so i would then just want the other

it is a very tough choice, to mix it up even more is the 100 F2.8L macro lens which is also awesome for portraits as well, so if you would like to do a bit of marco inbetween then this would be the best choice

i am on my shitty uncalibrated laptop (the screen really is shitty) but to me the bottom seems too bright and yes too yellow/green

So instead of the 135, the 100? I go back and forth on macro a lot, sometimes I feel like Id have a lot of fun with it, and sometimes I feel like Id get bored quickly. But as Ive only ever used filters for macro, I cant really know until I get a lens meant for it I suppose.

Yes top is before. The top one should look brighter than the bottom. God I wish I could get my colors right. How long before my eyes just know what to do? Frustrating.
