hmm though it makes me wonder why some of the cat-haters are frequently posting in this thread

Well we had that discussion before and I believe we are in the same boat lol. It's like just because some inconsiderate tenants have misbehaved in the past so now all the new tenants have to suffer
There were actually someone in my apartment building who had a little kitty last year but she got caught and had to get rid of it
Anyway I do hope to move later this year so hopefully I will find an apartment that allow pets so maybe I will get both a dog and a cat

Though I don't know about the little maintenance part because when my family had a cat we used to bathe it once a week or at least every other week during the summer because we let it out during the day so her fur gets dirty quite fast lol
and there is also the litter box which has to be cleaned twice to three times a day. Though I really didn't mind doing that because I would hate to see my pets living like filthy slobs

So how wild is that barn cat? I mean does it even dare to let you pet it? I feel sorry for those feral cats because I have seen so many of them when I was a kid and how awful some people treat them

The wild cat doesn't let us pet her, but she begs for food at my door and ofc I feed her
She probably used to be a house cat that was abandoned and stayed in the barn, thus becoming wild.
Many people drop their cat in the country when they are not the cute little kitten... but they have no idea that most of those cats can't survive the harsh winters in a cold barn...
That black wild one has long hair so she's ok, but how many cats died in horrible manner just cause they had owners who didn't feel like having them anymore
I ended up with 4 cats in the house but I can't take them all in

At the barn where we keep our horse the owner is a animal rescuer and has ~150 cats now, and she knows them all by name. It's kinda creepy.
