It was running at 3.88ghz, idling at ~40 at desktop, and was hitting ~65-70 during prime run

Add .5v to qpi/vtt voltage and retry.

And temps sound about right for your cooler.

Ran Prime for 5 minutes and it didn't BSOD. Temps were at ~83 on load and mid 40's at idle. Are there any specific Prime settings I should run? I just hit torture and start lol

Just blend test. It tests everything from ram, cpu, imc etc.

Let it run overnight before you go to bed tonight. If it can do 6+ hour no error. It's completely stable, we can move forward from there or if you're satisfied with clocks, we can trim the ram.

Are those temps fine? ~80 seems high :/ How can I get it to hit 4ghz on air stable? lol

Will trimming the ram do a whole lot?

We can push for 4ghz. But you seem to have a pretty high ambient temp. 86~ is about the max i would go when underload.

As for ram, that depends on the app, some apps benefit greatly from tighter ram and some dont'.

Photoshop does tho ;)

Weird, my ambient temps where I am are only about ~21

Okay, let's get this ram going ^ ^

Maybe I should water cool, seems simple enough :)

Run it overnight first ;) it's easilier to find out where to tweak at lower clocks.. then we can work our way up.

P.S- if you wanna water cool.. lmk, me and e6600 is pretty much the only two on jsp that has a custom water loop. But i gotta warn you.. it can get expensive.. very expensive. My loop cost me about $1k.
