Oh okay. I just did what was recommended, Ill redo it.

I guess Im kind of spoiled by actions, haha. The one that I did is seriously different than my previous edits. It seems really..understated, though.

It was like $99  I will definitely be getting a better one asap.

New edit, nothing but layer adjustments and a bit of sharpening:

Can you see how cold that is? There is a lot of cyan in it.

Do you shoot raw and do a white balance in lightroom/camera raw?

No, it actually looks more yellow to me than anything ._.

Yes, and yes. I usually end up adding reds/magentas, usually it looks cold and green to me. But yeah, this image doesnt look cool to me at all. I wish I could see what you were seeing :/.

Did you re calibrate using brightness/RGB settings on your monitor?

There is an option you have to check in the Spyder software, which allows you to customize RGB values in the calibration process.

Can you see the blue in her eyes?

Open it in photoshop and use the colour balance to refine the colour.

It's not "fucked" it's just not quite there.

Not yet, I havent had the time. Probably doing it after the kids go to bed.

I do, usually I run an action that eliminates cyan hues in eyes

Better?

Back again, I re-calibrated, lmk how these look to you guys.

Im thinking they may be a bit too bright, and the top one is slightly too warm. Let me know if you see something different.

mid tones are definitely too high, try using levels and pull the midtones slider back ~.15-20

this comes with practice too, it takes time to see what is right :)

You're welcome :)

The colour is a bit yellow too. Is that just straight colour?

Theyre pretty much SOOC, not much was done to them. I wanted to cool them down slightly, but I think I have a bad eye for that or something.

The bw was an action though.

that bw action is.. very bright..

Try hitting AUTO in the whitebalance module under DEVELOP in lightroom, then make your finer adjustments from there with temp/tint.

don't be afraid to use the curves feature too under DEVELOP, the lights/darks sliders will help you with skin tones ;)
