I use live view a lot, IS is almost always on (unless there's heavy movement). I also record some video for an on-the-spot addition to slideshows

The memory card is just a personal thing for me. I like to keep my cards in their plastic card holders, and my batteries in their original yellow-plastic holds.

Well I am actually a little bit dust-phobic and just hate to get dust and crap inside the cameras which is why I never remove batteries and cards unless I really have to

The only dust you should worry about is on your sensor, mirror, and lenses
The rest is easily cleaned.
