Well that's the problem because as I said above at in that focal range portraits are the almost logical choice and I simply can not find any interesting models lol.
I walked by the Wascana park earlier this morning and saw some geese and took some pretty close portraits of them but don't really find them that interesting so I guess I will have to try to find a cat on the streets here lmao


Well look at what photos qhotex has been posting, it's not just of plans and people!

Well if you look at the lens sample photo archive in some other photography forum you would see that 90%+ of the photos taken by these lenses are portraits of people and pets or "plans". :D

Well, the "purpose" of the contest was to force you to use one focal length and one lens to take the shot. Gotta be creative man... I've look thru my library and i've taken tons upon tons of stuff with my 30mm and 50mm lens. Most of them not plants and portraits. :P

Well we're actually having a public poll to vote on the best image. We won't be able to vote for ourself :P I know b/c i know who submitted. But voting is only open to the regular posting members here. There won't be a actual poll but you'll post which pic you nominate for the grand prize. You don't have to submit a photo to vote though!

I got it about 10 days ago. I sold my 70-200 f/4L and brought this.. since i already have a 1.4x extender.. i can effectively make it a 200~mm f/2.8 if needed too. Haven't really had time to go out and shoot it.. but zomg i the lens. It's so light, blistering fast af, doesn't stand out in public like a white lens and most of all.. the bokeh :drool:

Straight from camera! no editing. EXIF intact




And pic of my camera with the 135L mounted.. It's so sexy :wub: (Sorry for crappy pic.. took it with my iphone and uploaded via phone too.. so tons of compression too)
