Well because it seems not many ppl out there to shoot film anymore and F6 with it's high speed and advanced AF seem
to be aimed at journalists and sport photographers who definitely don't use film nowadays but I can be totally wrong.

It's aimed at professionals, which means loads of amateurs want to buy it ;)

I'd honestly suggest going with an F100, it's lacking a few features from the F6, but can be picked up cheaply (I got one with an MB15 battery grip for £100) and is really just an awesome camera all around.

In keeping with the general discussion threads found in other subforums, a place for us to chat about things.

Anyway, I'm looking at hiring a studio for a day sometime this summer, just need to conceptualise the images a bit more, I've got two definite shots already, but I need more ideas. I might have to invest in a proper lighting course.

i think that's a great idea. Keep us posted huh! And wish you all the luck.
Thanks!

Yeah, I know it's great and all but I totally have no interest in film cameras simply because I don't want to develop the film myself and hate to wait for the lab to do it :p
besides I wouldn't be surprised the current DSLRs have already caught up or at least soon will be catching up with film :p

Fair enough.
It's a good skill to learn though, if only for the different perspective you can gain from it.

I've started regretting those moments I don't bring a tripod, almost wherever I go with my camera >_<
I had a beatiful scenery in front of me.
My nd8 on my 35 /1.8 would have made sweet sweet autumn pictures :/

I am actually quite interested in those older manual lenses and have seen some fantastic results with them.
I was looking at this thread the other day:
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83812&page=7
and the combination of those new Olympus EP and Panasonic GF1 with manual lenses sounds very promising especially
the Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.1

Maybe it's something mr Bialator should take a look at :D

EDIT:
some hilarious photography related pictures

and some scary ones

That's definitely annoying. Someone used some shots I took of a lake in the Rocky Mountains for some underwater porn site... definitely not cool. -.-
