I'm kinda with Spencer on this one. Matter of taste though I suppose. Usually I love bokeh.

Yeah yeah i've shown that pic to many people i guess it's just taste.
Some said "hell i love the bokeh" some said "hell this would have been 100x better without it" ^^.

One of the main reasons I hate it (besides aesthetics) is that I know the bird is locked up.

Well it doesn't make the photo good better or worse actually.

It does for me, I always get super bored whenever I see zoo shots. Theres no thrill of the hunt, its just sitting there posing all day.

I still go to the zoo and stuff, kind of have to, daughter etc xD But I just dont think zoo and zoo-type photos are interesting.

Maybe Verdena was inside the fence, and the bird was outside. Just sayin.

Well damn, why did you have to make me think?

And I sort of lied, I do have one zoo-ish type pic, found it after some scrounging xD (I say zoo-ish because it wasnt really a zoo, we thought it was a nature trail but it just ended up being a boring 20 foot trail with a few cages =/)

Probably one of the best shots in this thread.
I just don't understand the bokeh, so horrid.
This would be extremely powerful without that random, (and not even clean) bokeh..

The bokeh is produced by the intersections in the fencing.
