I'm not afraid to venture out, and the outdoors are very much in my comfort zone, I just lack any possible idea for this that I can actually achieve in my current scenario.
Not that I am one to talk, especially on this subject as I haven't even tried shooting for a contest in 3 months... But, why not just go out and shoot? Just because you lack an idea for this contest doesn't mean you can't go enjoy the outdoors. Take your camera bag, load it up, get in your car, and go. I have found, when I actually go shooting, that I enjoy myself and photography much more when I am just doing it. Not thinking about it, not trying to achieve anything, just doing it. Now some of you *cough* Omar *cough* may say that you need to have a goal or idea of what you're shooting, and that you need to set out to achieve that. With that said, I agree, but only when you're trying to make a business out of it. Photography as a hobby should be done because you enjoy it. Go out and enjoy it.
