It's happened to me.

So if you don't get offended by someone talking to you, why would you think other people would get offended? That removes 50% of the problem

I would speak to a stranger if I wanted to and if I had to, but other than that, I don't feel like talking to strangers.

This is why I am not a "wedding photographer" or a "people photographer"

I am not really a forward person, I wouldn't just go up to someone that I don't know, they could come up to me and speak by all means, but I rarely will start the conversation; doesn't mean I'm anti-social

Exactly... I find that when I did make conversation, it was a complete waste of my time/effort. So screw them all lol

Haha, I haven't even attempted to take photos of people... when I am at a public event, I plan to capture people "that are not looking" - always fun.

I had to put black tape around the 70-200. White lens always make people look :\
