Macro lenses focus in a unique way. As I stated before. Even with AF, you will be pinpointing the focus manually. AF is SOOOOO unnecessary with macro.

I'm planning on doing a QuinceaƱera on the 20th with just the 100 mm L IS Macro. I can move freely on the church and its decently lit. GL to me :D

As I said before working distance is more important to me. So I will probably get an extender too.

I know and it's something I will have to figure out and try to extend it to like 2-3ft while still giving at least 1:2 magnification.
Maybe the Canon 180mm f3.5 macro plus extension tube will make it but it's a very long lens and without IS so I would need either
ring flash or broad daylight.
