portrait is the easier
can be done at home
can be done in family
can be done with any equip
can be done self

i think it will have many entries coz of that

ps: cons it can be banalized very easy but also it can be very well designed aswell

Architecture
I hate architecture.. all aspects of it...

Landscape
Would be nice and everyone can participate :)

Portrait
Good for people having studio gear....
Bad for people who don't and have extreme cold temperatures outside...

Flowers
I am lucky I have a Paradise Bird flowering at the moment inside the house... but outside there are none....

Seasons
Either winter or Summer depending where you live...
So basicly related to landscape...

Culture
I'm out of this one... I live on a farm far far away from civilization and any culture...
Can't take picture when I work though, without being 'reported'.

Citylife(not the pc game)
Read above...
No way I'll drive one hour to get city pictures as I hate the city...

I know, I'm boring...

I can suggest one topic though..: ANIMALS
Can be either domestic or wildlife.
Don't have any?
Go to the nearest petshop ;)

I would so vote for animals!

CityLife is by far the most interesting and original. [X]

Portraits won't get any entries, and culture is hopeless because everything is culture. Landscape is overdone, flowers.. I dont even want to think about this worst case scenario.

Taking pictures of city life... hmm, seems so freaky. I fear I might get murdered or bothered when I go out to take these kinds of pictures. I don't like public people talking to me while I'm doing my thing, I want them to all f***off and let me be  I will not take photos of city life unless I am a ninja and no one can see me.

Does city life have a different meaning than I think it does? I doubt anyone will be rude here @_@

I meant the people around me... I don't know, I just don't want to start any issues with anybody. I have wanted to capture city life it would be interesting indeed, I just don't really live in much of a city that has "life" as you'd put it. It's a small city... only thing I can think of are events that happen in the summer time. Put it this way, in other words I'm just too chicken to go out and take pictures of the city life. Would be much better in a large city like Toronto.... not "Moose Jaw"

You're so anti-social chantal :D
I'm quite the opposite. I like to take photos of homeless folks and give them a sort of donation afterwards. I ask people in the street if I can take their photo when I like their face or their clothing.

Not so much anti social, just not very out spoken :)

The only way I would ask those people those questions is if I HAD TO.

Has it ever happened to you that you're walking on a street you don't or hardly know and wish there was a friendly face nearby?
Remember the saying: Strangers are friends waiting to happen. (nn maddox add-on, for those who get it)

Do you get offended if someone starts talking to you?
