Why? This is more like a popularity contest.

I do not understand what happened with this contest, maybe we have lost enthusiasm? In previous contest I have read some good reply from users, critical and non-critical, on the photos published.

But now? Maybe I missed something? Or is only my point of view?

p.s. I wanted to do only a post to bring up the topic.

Meh, for me personally.. I'm just sick of people complaining about this and that. How it doesn't fit the theme and what not, what one thinks doesnt fit will seem perfectly logical to another. Everyone interprets things differently. That killed the mood for me. I'm thinking it has something to do with fg prizes, some are just too caught up on winning... Without prizes, I think we can actually just enjoy what others have come up with pertaining to the theme and vote for the best picture.

Honestly I think the past few themes were interesting, but more open themes would be better both for entries and for getting great photos in this contest. When you're worrying too much about fitting the theme it's tougher to get a good picture, and with the small number of users on here I don't think we should limit ourselves that much.

I would like to see the FG prizes stay, but open the themes up more. Maybe even no theme. Just take a month, take your best photo and post it. Simple.

I believe a good solution could be a poll. We can list some themes and see howthe community is oriented. It seems democratic?
