Umm.. The 5d is a toy compared to 1 series, let alone the 7d. It's night and day.

Comparing the three (5dII/7d vs 1ds) the 1ds shutter actuation actually sounds like a shutter, not a car accident.

In all seriousness, the 1Ds III and 1DIV does feel very substantial.. I played with both for a long time at B&H in nyc

P.S- If i recall correctly, the 7D is actually better built compared to the 5D. The 7D has better sealing too.

You expect me not to stop by B&H and Adorama? I was in NYC for a week!! I went to both.. B&H looks really big from the outside but to be honest.. i wasn't impressed. The SLR department is really small.

Oh and Adorama is EXTREMELY SMALL. The showcase area is less then 2000 sq feet by my estimates. Looks like a ghetto mom and pop store. It's got scaffolding outside so it seems worst lol.

you call that extremely small ? its about the same size as biggest camera store in helsinki. rest of them are something you can barely fit 5 people in

They blew my mind too.. The store is big, but the pro video, computer, audio departments took up most of the space.



2000 sq feet total.. They sell everything from Apples to consumer p&s to tripods to printers to paper and camera bags.. subtract all those and the SLR department is a wee section of the store

Eek you got so much equipment you can open up a store too
