Although #9 is a pretty picture, I don't see how it fits the contest theme effectively enough to be in the lead. The monkey grabbin his balls has a notable 'expression,' while the squirrel does not. This is what we mean on how the contest went bad.

You never answered me.

Thats the last time I vote for you, if you continue treating me like this.

O lol. I took #13. It was a snap shot during a quinceañera. I didn't have time to shoot something for this.

I autovote for Scuba's.

Voted.

"Next time if the theme is acquariums i'll shoot helicopters."

Then don't make the themes so vague! Expression can be facial expression, it can be expression of creativity through art, etc.. -_-

I didn't participate, I'm just expressing my irriation over everyone complaining how not all the pictures are the same.

If you want all pictures to fit the theme, make it 'cars' or 'snow' or 'animals' or anything more concrete.

I don't understand the voting process by the way, but I'd like to vote #5.

I'm back for a bit.

Is a squirrel shot winning over picture #5? Really? :/

It's a great shot! I don't get it.. -_-

No offense but talking about a 'lack of originality' as people have said before in these contest topics.. This is it.

By the way:

ex·pres·sion (k-sprshn)
n.
1.The act of expressing, conveying, or representing in words, art, music, or movement; a manifestation: an expression of rural values.2. Something that expresses or communicates: Let this plaque serve as an expression of our esteem.
3. Mathematics A symbol or combination of symbols that represents a quantity or a relationship between quantities.
4. The manner in which one expresses oneself, especially in speaking, depicting, or performing.
5. A particular word or phrase: "an old Yankee expression . . . 'Stand up and be counted'" (Charles Kuralt).
6. The outward manifestation of a mood or a disposition: My tears are an expression of my grief.
7. A facial aspect or a look that conveys a special feeling: an expression of scorn.
8. The act of pressing or squeezing out.
9. Genetics The act or process of expressing a gene.

In other words: Pretty much anything is an expression. You guys should've put as a theme 'Facial expression' considering your (unfounded) complaints.

I agree.

I don't think I would partecipate a contest with a precise theme, like cats or car or churches.

I love these generic themes and I like to see how every partecipant interprets them.
