There was a nasty snow storm outside and going out was out of the question.
Found this wonderful texture while browsing on Flickr and applied it to my kids' picture, taken on Christmas Eve with all the excitement in their eyes!
The original picture was taken in an unfinished room (dry wall and reflective isolation showing) with only natural light coming from the side and back.
I thought the kids were looking good in the photo, but the background was very boring, this texture makes me want to get a large print and hang it on a wall!

I agree.

I dont know, I feel like these sort of photos are much too over-processed. I feel like the texture should be subtle, and not such a focal point in the photo.

This. I'd at least remove the texture from their arms.

I don't really like those texture pps :\ but i guess it's just a matter of taste
Also the bright white light on the kids face doesn't fit well with the texture's color imo.
