Well normally what I do is I just double click the raw file and it opens up in photoshop... and then it shows a bunch of settings I can change, which are pretty cool.

I don't know about gimp though... maybe try opening it up in gimp and see what happens?

I think I will install gimp later, just so I can understand it more and maybe find some tutorials that work for the sticky


Do you transfer the files on your computer first or are they to be used in the camera?
Cause when I xfer them they auto convert in jpg.....

I transfer them first.

Hmm that's weird... I really don't know about that one... mine look like this after I've transferred them: (the non-photo looking ones are the raw files)
