Well the way I sees it I'd rather get addicted to computer games than doing drugs or become an alcoholic. Of course trying to hide from the reality and responsibilities is kinda pathetic and it also creates anti-social behaviors. You know back then I only had like one real life friend who was also addicted to computer games and a few online friends but after I quit playing games I actually made several real life friends even though none of them were really good friends but at least I hang out more with real people and explored new places.


If you don't like the OT chat please go away just kidding. It's just boring talking about photography all the time just like those boring trade forums, all the posts in there are D2 related and it's boring lol.

yeah ur right, but i dont think enough people are posting images in these forums, which was why they were made, right?
and there are a few photos creeping in that are too professional....it's sad because you dont get better unless you practice and get feedback

Yeah. That's kinda the stage I'm at right now... Slowly decreasing the amount of time I play everyday and becoming more social :3 And I got another hobby now too! Which actually gives me reason to go outside ^^

Yeah... I wish people would give more criticism on my shots :/ But owell, you can't demand too much from people :3 It is after all, a gaming forum not a photography one.

yeah but i know everyone in our guild gives me feedback, and helped me a lot

but i dont really get to talk in a topic to them, because a few of us are GMT and others are like +10 hours

When I had my 40D I just couldn't stay inside whenever it's nice outside or when I got bored during the weekend nights lol so I grabbed my camera and spent hours either walking around the downtown area taking photos or try to find new places outside the city that I have heard about. Before this summer I have never been to places like Lidingö, Alvik or Vaxholm which is kinda sad because those places are so beautiful.

heh thanks! I know I should ^^ I've taken about 300 today and about 300 yesterday lol. Most were wast shots but I got a couple nice ones Maybe let's say ... 20-30 of them haha. I really feel like I've escalated incredibly from my first shot with her yesterday to tonight ^^ I know where everything is now and the settings are all molded to how I like it etc " And wow, I tried my sister's boyfriend's horse-shoe flash out and it was amazing I've never taken such nicely lit flash shots before " I'm defiantly going to invest in a good flash once I get enough cash. Yeah ^^ I'm gonna try to keep my promise to myself to go out and explore once it gets atleast... sweatshirt weather lol. I tried exploring a week ago or so with the G9 but after an hour or so I just couldn't be out longer ><" The cold does that to you ... especially when one hand needs to be "un-gloved" (so to say) in order to push buttons.

haha stop complaining about the cold weather in Sweden I mean you could at least walk around and take photos in a whole hour, try to do that when it's -30 outside jk
You know you should try night photography, I mean walk around in the downtown area and take photos of stuff like lights, cars, buildings, nightclubs and people.

oh.. sorry to hear that. I have walked around the city during the night alot and I never got any problem at all not even in the subway and believe me I don't look scary or like a caveman with lots of muscles and all that in fact I am kinda skinny but quite tall. Anyway I am sure you would do fine if you just walk around the downtown area because there are a lot of police and security dudes walking around but you probably should avoid the subway though. Maybe it's because you look very young and almost like a girl (no offense) but I would definitely not see you as an emo or preppy (fjortis) lol. Almost all my night photos was taken handheld except for one or two of them which I took by placing my camera on garbage cans or benches so I could use a much longer exposure. The lens I have has image stabilizer so it helped quite a lot and allowed me to use shutter speed up to 1/5 second without using a tripod. Of course some of the photos would have been so much better with those streaks you talked about and star bursts if I used a tripod
