are you freaking kidding me? lol so it was like a lottery or something? the lucky guy with the right number doesnt have to join the military? ohmy.gif haha well in Sweden we still have this stupid draft, meaning everyone who is 18 and older has to be enlisted into the military BUT since the 90s it has been quite easy to avoid all you have to do is to tell them that you do not want to be in the military and thats what I did plus a bunch of other crap course I have a big mouth biggrin.gif

Well, we also have to go to "session" where we have to do many tests. And after 3 - 6 hours we have to pick a number or just say that we want to join the army.

In Denmark it is a bit harder to avoid army.

haha yeah because you guys are in Nato tongue.gif
lmao yep thats what we had to do too, doesnt matter if we want to join the army or not we still had to do tests and all that for a whole day and then tell them if we want to join the military or not. its just stupid. haha I guess I was lucky that they didnt let us pick numbers because I know I am usually quite unlucky when it comes to lotteries and gambling and I am sure I would get the wrong number and get enlisted - lol

lol well I guess back in highschool I was quite a nerd, used to read all the stuff about history and all that and kept doing that until I gradually lost interest, long story.
I hope you don't mind me ranting here just feeling to tell people something about responsibility and parenting. I was talking to one of my coworkers earlier today. She's like 19 yrs old and she told me a lil bit about herself and her past which is unfortunately very similar to the one of a friend of mine in Sweden. Her parents are alcoholic and they threw her out before she could even finish highschool so she had to start working at Burger King to make a living when she was 17 and my friend in Sweden also had parents who were addicted to alcohol and her mother died when she was young so she had to stay at a foster family. But what really surprises me is that they both have abusive boyfriends who treat them like shit and in a very weird way they seem to accept it and don't really seem to mind being called a whore or being yelled at or worse by their own boyfriends. It's like all those kids who had a crappy or messed up childhood would keep having screwed up life even when they grow up. Well it just makes me wonder how and why some people wanted to have children in the first place and then dont give a damn about them so they would suffer for the rest of their lives and keep making the wrong choices. I know how it feels and what it is like having unsupportive and seemingly irresponsible parents. Those of you who were raised by loving and supportive parents may not know or understand how much a crappy childhood or teenagehood could affect those kids future and I wish people would judge less and help more. lol that was my rant of the day tongue.gif

i can see what you're saying mate, but some people dont want to have children, and do by accident - therefore they dont want them.

It is sad. I had a very good friend once. But he did like his mother. Smoked weed, acid and mushrooms. Quite sad. I live in the same town as he do, but I have not seen him for like one year.

Social influence is crap, if it is like you described.

So you mean your friend actually had a good childhood and supportive parents but he went bad because he made the wrong friends?
