no thank-you, id prefer to stick with the nikon or the 450d

its sad that so meny new guys into photography absolutely has to have a new camera, even tho they could get meny times better used one cheaper. On those cheap cameras shutter release count is so much lower than older better cameras, that those used cameras could even last longer, if they havent been really heavilly used.

nah, i feel like ive used compact cameras long enough and i said to a journalist who uses like £5k+ cameras what would be my next stage and he says i wanna get a nice sturdy canon or nikon and if i like slrs and can get a few good pics with the standard kit lens, then buy a better lens.

I dont wanna get an old camera that has a lightning fast shutter or an amazing lens, that would be like getting an old ferrari as a first car!

if you could get used ferrari for same price than new lada, what would you pick? Lada would cost 1/5th more

the lada, maybe if i had been driving for a while id pick the ferrari 10 times over, but since im new to this sort of thing i think id spend the little bit more and get somthing which was a bit easyer for me to handle

what im trying to say, really is that id choose the newer one because, it may not be as good, but a beginner like me would find it easier to handle, and i mean im not gonna use a lightning fast shutter, the 1/4000 is much faster then my compact camera's 1/16.


i know you are trying to reccommend me on which you think is best, thanx, but i really have my heart set on the 450D or the D60!

450D for me

30d/40d is easier to handle than 450d

well guess i just couldnt keep my "mouth' shut here but I think everyone has his/her own preferences and I think he is pretty much like me, someone who doesnt really want to buy a used camera at least as your first dslr. I probably wouldnt mind buying a used one as a back up or something but as my main equipment Id like buy it new and fresh

the Lada is harder to handle then the Ferrari??

mate plz im not getting a 40D its way out of my usage, maybe for someone like you who is good at dslr's!!

nice choice I am sure you will not regret it but I think you will probably want a better lens soon and of course a tripod
