i'm thinking of buying the 150mm ex macro 1:1, f2.8, and a sigma teleconverter, i can afford both a 1.4x and 2x converter (well i can but cant justify both right now) what one do you think i should buy. also i'm going to buy a d700 soonish and it would be for my d200 as a secondary camera, i want advice!!

I can't say a whole lot about any of that as I have never even touched them before.

But why is the D700 something like 2.2k?

Aside from it being a full frame camera and it has somewhat of high ISO ranges I can't find anything especially great about it.

Same reason as why the 5Dmk2 is 2.5k
Large sensors are a lot more expensive to make than smaller ones and D700 probably has the best AF system out there and it's high ISO performance would put any of the lower end cameras to shame.
From what I have read it's basically a slightly downgraded D3 which cost more than twice as much.



That kind of humor could be popular in the real life or at least with the skanks but not much more
