We'll see. Lately I haven't had much motivation to do any shooting. Not sure why really, but I just can't force myself to pull the trigger on the shutter. I seem to have several ideas of things I want to go and shoot, but I never can bring myself to going and actually shooting them. I need to get my FM2 fixed, then maybe I will run around with that and shoot some redscale film just for shits and giggles. I don't know... Today I went to a very good friends wedding up in the canyon, and I had thought about bringing my camera to do some shooting. Mountainscapes, old mining stuff, etc. But in the end I just decided it would have been too much of a hassle to carry my stuff around.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to revamp your motivation? Or has anyone ever gone through this lack of care that I am currently going through?

I think I am one step behind you ....

I feel it's a pain carrying my equipment around, like I have very little motivation to even bother getting it all out and setting it up ... it's much easier to just not do it right? I find myself bringing my camera, but I don't do anything with it.

Lately when I think of it that way, I have regretted not taking the photos or bringing my camera (sometimes). I have people ask me "did you bring your camera?" and I sigh and say "no"

The only thing I've been taking photos of lately is my nephew, and I'm doing that once a month to show how much he has grown, some little thing I decided myself to do. Now we have this photo contest that I need to at least give an effort on, since my last submission really was disappointing.

It's funny because months ... and months ago I created a little project for myself... I was going to post it here so everyone else could follow... but I thought, well, if someone didn't lead by example no one would do it... but I have no finished it ... ugh.. I don't want to give it away as I still want to post it here as a surprise thing... it's kind of a fun project... in total you'd post ten photos that were new. I had trouble trying to find 10 photos to take regarding the subject/idea. It's not hard, the photos don't have to be amazing, it would just bring back some fun into taking photos of things that mean a lot to you.

My submission was pretty pathetic too! Haha! I'm sure you may know from flickr that my was the rainbow colored light bulb. I only shot it cause I wanted to try that, uh... technique, to see if it actually works. Turns out it does, fancy that.

in the initial post you say that the Exif data must be present in the picture. That usually means, HDRs cannot be included, or only by manipulating the exif data of the final .jpg file.

btw here you can see an example of a reflection photo in HDR from, me. I include it here, as I cannot enter this the contest with this photo, because I made it around 1 year ago.

I think most programs include the "0 photo".

Muhahahahaha think I have my photo idea for this contest!!!!
Not telling what it will be ofc!!!!
Didn't get a single vote in the last contest, but with this concept I hope I'll get at least one!!!
Did a practice with the model and will do the 'official shooting' when the light is better

I didn't get a single vote either, so don't feel so bad.

I also hope to at least get one vote...
