Yes exactly!!
And get rid of some people who get credit for plagiarism!!!

I vote Chantal for president!!!

One selfish suggestion I'd like to make..
I know there are some awesome tutorials on Youtube, but please don't include any, cause I can't view them
Dial-up at home and they are blocked at work now :(

I have poor internet too, I find that a lot of the youtube videos don't load like they used to, I keep having to refresh the page every time, I don't think it's a bad idea, I don't like tutorial videos anyway.

Buy a new computer then.. how expensive is it for internet? I pay like $60 a month for internet.

My computer is fine, actually it's amazingly great!
But I live in the middle of nowhere and unless I go satellite, which is bad for gaming, there is no high speed available.
I pay 9.99$ a month for unlimited internet, but it's dial-up...
So even if I was filthy rich, I still can't get high speed where I live.
And I'm not gonna sell my 10 acre horse farm just for internet.

There are cellphone service providers out there that offer broadband through the 3G network and I have seen some offering it in Europe at a rather low price.

Does anyone have anything to add to this? I am considering maybe a noise reduction tutorial or something... I've never attempted it before, so I think I will go find one.

Yes Chantal, I have something I would die for you to add....
A RAW guide... for people who don't have photoshop..
How do you do it with your camera?
I've been trying just now with the thing installed from the Canon dvd that came with the camera, and it seems to convert all my pictures in jpg as soon as it takes them out of the camera...
And I have no idea how to get to the pictures that are still on the camera....
I am so lost....
This seems so much trouble, why bother i'm almost saying

Ohh, okay. Well on your camera there's a setting in the menu somewhere where you have to switch your quality to raw. I set mine to raw + jpeg so I can get both (it takes up a lot of room on the memory card though). On my camera it's located in Menu. Then you will see a screen where you can go to different sections, the one I go to to find the quality is the one with the little camera on it with a number 1. (It's the first one). Then I just scroll down to quality and change it. Mine says Raw+L . I believe in your manual it should tell you how to change it too, and I do believe it explains the different qualities.

I am not familiar with gimp at all, but I will search and see if they have a guide like that.

Ohh I see

Well normally what I do is I just double click the raw file and it opens up in photoshop... and then it shows a bunch of settings I can change, which are pretty cool.

I don't know about gimp though... maybe try opening it up in gimp and see what happens?

I haven't read it all yet, but I found something about raw and gimp on flickr.. http://www.flickr.com/groups/gimpusers/discuss/99776/

I think I will install gimp later, just so I can understand it more and maybe find some tutorials that work for the sticky
