holy crap lol that sounds like a complicated procedure. well I have never really thought about shooting in RAW but i am sure once I have learned enough about photography and became somewhat good at it I will look into it. hmm it seems you really like your 1D, how does it compare to your 40D? I really liked my 40D even though sometimes I wish it has better high ISO performance because I didnt had the luxury shooting with a tripod biggrin.gif Good high iso performance is still very useful when it comes to shooting action photos in low light which I actually tried couple of times without success of course dry.gif

Raw processing isnt that complicated, pics that doesent need lots of processing i can make ready in like 2minutes, this one took like 10 minutes, but i could have done it in 5 if i would have tried to do it fast as possible.

40d has better iso performance and its easier to use, but 1d has better looking noise, colors and overally way better image quality, allso it kicks 40ds ass in all other aspects than the iso performance and since it shows more of the picture(1.3 crop factor on 1d and 1.6 on 40d) i can make wider bokeh with it or shoot at closer distance and get more shallow dept of field and i like good bokeh. So yeah i like the 1d way more than 40d, but 40d is allso good to have since it shows its strenght where 1d is lacking something.

yeah I know about the difference in crop factor but didnt know that the image quality is also superior consider how old 1D mk1 is.
anyway here are some of the very first night photos taken by me with my old HP p & s camera. they arent that great and you can see the HUGE difference in quality between pics taken with DSLR and a p&s.
