I prefer a brand that shoots pics (I have experience with Nikon, Minolta, Olympus, Sigma and on occasion have used 3-4 other brands on single occasions) ... it shouldn't be too expensive, it shouldn't be cheap though, it should have some weather sealing because of where I live, it should be rugged for the way I am, the system needs to be built around its lenses because that's what really matters, bodies come and go, it's got to be something that not everyone has because I wanna be a unique and precious snowflake =)
My camera came dropping out of my vehicle the other day, landed with a loud THWACK on the ground. I smiled. Thought to myself immediately, boy I hope it didn't land on the lens. I picked it up and inspected the lens, ignoring the body wholly and completely. Lens perfect. I already knew the camera body would be fine, why, not because it dropped 4 feet onto concrete, but because I know its tough. But for shits and giggles I now look at the body ... ahh landed right there on the CF card door, 3 nice marks ... oh well, works just like it never fell. That's why I love my camera ... it can survive me ... because I am rough. And if shit isn't built right, when it comes to my hands, it will break.
nice lol my camera has metal body but I dont think it would survive a fall of four feet onto concrete ground course like three days after I got it the back LCD broke and according to the repair dude something must have hit it even though there were no marks on the body or the protective glass...
