so I just bought some filters.. UV protect, Polarizer and a magnifie glass (no idea why, but it was included in the package)..

Haven't really been inspired lately, as the weather has been terrible. The sky is grey and snow everywhere .. the sun hasn't barely been visible the past month!!

btw. are any of you familiar with the Vivitar DF-838 flash?

Wow... I'm sure everyone has a day where they regret so much not bringing their camera with them...
Today was such a day for me..
I went hiking in the snowy mountain, and it was snowing big wet snow flakes that would stick together on every branch...
It was B E A U T I F U L !!!!
Ofc.. I didn't bring my camera cause usually I have a hard time taking nice pictures in the winter....
Tomorrow I'm going back, hoping the snow will keep falling!!!!!

Hey there. A mate just linked me to a site called Brandele.com. It seems to be a chinese store. I just saw that they have a tremendous discount on the Canon 50D at the moment. The body would go for 200$. I´m not sure why they can afford to sell it for such a cheap price ( it usually costs around 800€ here, which would be like 1000$ ).
So I got two questions:

1. Does this seller seem trustworthy and reliable and would you buy that body?
2. How big is the improvement when switching from a 1000D to a 50D?

As you might know the 1000D I bought 2 years ago was my first DSLR. I´m getting upset about the noise in low light situations abit + some other stuff I think the 50D could do better. so if you´d let me know wether that upgrade would pay off or not, that´d be awesome. because it seems I wont get such a cheap offer again anytime soon.

200$ for 50d = obvious scam

no one gets those cameras that cheap even in huge stocks straight from the factory

what makes you think that they ever sold it for that price? of course discount looks more legit than 200$ normal price. its not that hard to write that its a discount not the normal price on the website..

this kind of scam websites arent that rare.

i just looked at the site and first page is full of ridiculous discounts, many items sold for half price of already cheap prices

Look at their payment types:

Quote
Payment Type
Bank Wire Transfer
Western Union
Moneygram

That, combined with no visible SSL certificate makes me thing they're just going to scam you.
