Im gonna try to stick with it a bit longer this time. I watched a youtube thing on it so I understand a little better now. I guess I just dont get why its supposed to be so helpful, but I guess that will come in time.

And Im super sadface, that monitor is on sale for $399 D:

It's just so much more ergonomical and its great for focus recomposition. You get used to it and if you try going back to the standard way it just feels weird ha

I hope so ^^

The spyderpro went on sale last night so I bought it :D.

Im hoping that I can earn enough to buy the 85mm 1.8 before tax time too. What do you think of the 70-300? We went to best buy not that long ago and I tested one out, it seemed pretty sharp and I liked the bokeh. Just trying to figure out other options if I dont go for the 70-200.

if you dont go for the 70-200 f2.8 IS, then rather look at the 135 f2 or if you want to do some macro then look at the 100 f2.8L
imo you will be disapointed with the 70-300 in a few weeks/months and you will regret it

Ive never even looked at the 135 before, thanks. Looks like you can get super sharp images wide open, I really need that. Its pretty rare that I go under 2.8 with my 50.

I used to have a lot of fun with macro, I even got a set of filters for it. Didnt last long though

The only thing Im worried about is the fact that all my lenses will be primes..shouldnt I have some sort of zoom?

Fantastic! :D

70-300 is a waste of money. It's slow!

135 is a great portrait lens! But because it's so long it's more for static subject studio work..

There is nothing wrong with primes.. Like I said, I use my 24/50/85 combination nearly all the time. The 70-200 only comes out when I'm in a studio, even then I use the 85 mostly..

If you can't shoot under 2.8 then there is something seriously wrong with that lens, it should be sharp enough at f2.

And you have the 85 1.8 right, not the 1.2?

I just really like it at 2.8, that seems to be the sweet spot, for mine anyway. I guess I havent messed with it since I started using AF more though..the softness could just have been me being off.

Yeah 1.8. I thought about the 1.2, really hard, believe me, but I just couldn't justify the price tag

Ummm... The softness will definitely be you being off HA
