i use 99.99% of time manual

AV/TV/P - all are same, camera tells you how picture wil look like, camera makes the picture
M - you tell camera, how picture will look like, YOU MAKE THE PICTURE

simple as that ;)

Assuming you have the time.

half a second to flick your thumb

and if you are a good photographer, you shouldn't really get "fluke images" you know where to be at the right time

That's all it takes to miss a shot, especially in weddings, events, sports, and photojournalism.

I MAKE THE PICTURE. Which will result(if exposed correctly) in the same picture i could have done in av or tv with less time wasting.
The camera doesn't make the picture, the camera exposes the picture correctly, I make the picture even in priorities modes.

As i was saying i agree on the flash but that's it for me.
Landscapes are fine with shutter priority, i just don't see how they can be done better with manual since it's the same thing :D.
Unless you want them to be underexposed or overexposed S is gonna be better and faster.

You guys are speaking nonsense..
It's like saying, i can go to work by walk or by car.
I'll arrive anyway, it will just be faster by car.

Disagree. The only times i've missed those "moments" shooting a wedding or an event is when i've had my camera down.

I've never missed a shot because of exposure.

Poor analogy is horrible.

Anyway, this guy is just starting off. He should be learning exposure with M.

Y'all mad.
