Oh I'm well aware. I just would like the 10 FPS. I have been in so many situations where my frame rate stopped me from getting the perfect shot. There are also a number of things I would like to do, such as composites, that require the high frame rate.

The 7D would be great since it has the 8 FPS or whatever it is, however, it has the exact same sensor as my T2i.

Are you going to be making any money shooting sports?

That's the only way I will be shooting sports after high school.

Correction, that's the only way I will be shooting sports after high school that will prompt me to purchase a $5000 camera.

Unless of course the US government decides to hire me at $200k a year out of college. :P

Honestly... If you can make money shooting sports... I'd pay for the upgrade for the 7D. As long as you are making money it will pay for itself over a little bit of time. If you struggle so much with fps at the moment the upgrade will be worth it. You will eventually get paid enough to buy another upgrade. Then you can run 2 bodies with 2 different lenses. I am currently doing so. I run with my D7000 and my 80-200 2.8 then my D80 and my 50 1.4. I am currently thinking I will save up for whatever replaces the D3/x/s, that obviously will take some time. But I don't regret upgrading to the 7000 even though my goal is to get FF.

I'm not making money shooting sports though, and I personally have no idea how I would even get into that. Since I am not making any money except a small bit from a few senior sessions and from assisting a wedding photographer, I just can't justify buying another body before I get a full frame.

Need and want are two largely different things. As an amateur photographer you can do pretty much everything with these two lenses.

that is exactly what i mean
we are never satisfied with what we have

I don't know about that. I was pretty satisfied when I was shooting with a 70-200 2.8 IS and a 24-70 2.8, with a 17-50 2.8 in my bag. 7D and 40D bodies..

The only thing more I could have wanted there was a macro lens and a full frame.
