Youre right, film will make you disciplined over time. Maybe if you werent a MAN and you actually LISTENED youd understand so I wouldnt have to spell it out for you.

I started with digital, I can sit and take a thousand of the same picture if I wanted to. And if I was super lazy, I could use auto for all 1000.

I cant spend money on endless rolls of film, especially not the kinds I want. I will have to think out every single shot and make sure the settings are just right. Eventually this discipline will help me when Im using my digital camera.

Get a light meter if you are serious :)

You won't get the same results ;)

A light meter will allow you to be much more accurate in exposure

If you have a little cash to burn, the Minolta IV F Flash Light Meter is the holy grail.

My bad, didn't read the whole thread lol.

Do any photographers use a light meter to get a specific zone reading even if their using digital?

I use one in the studio for flash ratios and used to use one religiously years ago when shootan film.

You will find a lot of professional (more so commercial) studios will use light meters.

Send the kiddies off to work :D

Try b&h or eebay? Google the light meter (the whole phase) and check it out.

If you are serious about going through heaps of film then definitely get one. If you are going to fuck around and lose interest after 5 rolls then I wouldn't bother haha

I have to wait a few years, apparently theres some dumb law that says they cant work until a certain age. Damn freeloaders.

Im not sure what Ill do yet honestly..Ill be getting an all-in-one printer soon hopefully, so Ill be able to scan the pictures I take for cnc at least.
