I wish I knew the answer to that question because no one has answered you yet!

While I hold no power to make the decision, I will make the argument:
If you'll be using film, that's fine and dandy. Film is most of the time more challenging than digital.
However, if you'll be able to take advantage of improved texture/light ranges, we'll be able to criticize based on the quality of your scan. If your scanner is cheap, we can tell, and I will personally emphasize how the photo sucks in digital format.

While i do want to promote taking pictures no matter the format. For this contest, i'm going to make it digital only. Not that i'm saying any of you will do that, but it could open a potential loophole where contestants can supply old images for the contest which totally defeats the purpose of the contest in the first place, which is to have you guys go out and shoot.

Too bad with this contest theme, I have a feeling that this will turn into a model competition...
