Hmm... so the point of making photos is to achieve the highest IQ possible, but things like AF, ergonomics, and sharpness (although it has a lot to do with IQ, and canon > nikon glass in terms of sharpness) would come close to comparing?

The real reason people use Nikon is because they want to be different. It's like them hipsters - shit becomes bad after it goes 'mainstream.'
