Why don't you focus on getting the part you want focused? :D
Imo if you get the driver focused, it is a much more techincally-challenging photo than just one shot at F22. Get it at 1.2 and it's autowin.

Well, to be honest, no matter how narrow the aperture is, it only keeps your subject focused since the bg is blurred. So it's much easier to do it with a narrower aperture. Doing it with 1.2 better be auto-win because it's technically impossible due to the lens physics. Focus shift will throw everything out the window. ;)

I know it's a bad example but the "front" and "back" of the subject is still somewhat in focus and doesn't have that focus shift.
