1. does the uploading site matter? like i saw a stickied thread and im wondering if i could just use imageshack.us?
2. What makes a photo good?
3. is a 7.2 megapixel camera good?
4. what should i begin taking pictures of for practice
5. how do i become better?
6. what are some mistakes you made when you first started that i should watch out for?

I could write a book responding to this just because the questions are so open ended ;/

Knowing the functions and all the controls of your camera makes a picture good. It's not the camera that makes it good, it's you and your knowledge.

Not true. Someone could know their camera inside out and be incapable of taking a good photograph.

Well I didn't mean "just only that" makes a good photograph. My bad, should have expanded more.

I didn't think you did, just thought it'd be worth pointing out.

When you take a photo, you should always try to consider both the absolute way that it looks, but also how it can be interpreted, the latter is what makes a mediocre photograph a true piece of art.
