Huh? I just use a normal view finder on my X-370 and it's fine, it's an SLR so it shows what the lens sees. My 100 Automatic has split level and that's fun too.

It's a lot harder to focus properly manually without a split level viewfinder though. In my experience anyway.

I dunno, it depends, on the X-370 there is a focus ring inside the viewfinder that distorts the image when it's not completely focused and it works on all Minolta lenses. The split level is a bit difficult for me when shooting some things, such as uneven ground. It screws with my head looking at it.
