well guess what!
im moving to helsinki

i know that finland isnt a very populated country and i love to be around people and the city, and helsinki suits it perfect.
but i would also love to have somewhere to escape to in the country where its quiet.
and i want to ask you if youve seen the northern lights?
if i gotten the chance i think it would be amazing to get some shots of it.
Yea good thing about helsinki is that u can get to places that look like countryside without leaving the city, but the city central area is really small compared to meny other citys. U know what part of helsinki are you moving? Suburbs are quite different from central area and they vary quite alot on crime rates etc. If u dont know where u move, i suggest to stay the hell out from east side if u dont want to look at junkies and wanna be gansta somalians 24/7. West side or central area is something you most likely wanna live at, munkkiniemi or munkkivuori are maybe one of the best places to live(has beach, old architechture, nature and parks, quiet neighbourhood with alot of rich people and only about 4km from the center). Some places at east side are acceptable to live in, but i would personally stay the hell out of there.
Yea iv seen northern lights few times, but they dont show that good here in south that they do in lapland, so dont expect to get eny northern light shots from helsinki.
Helsinki is the kind of city you wont get nearly enything out of unless you really get to know it, and once u do u might not want to leave
