The don's photo link doesn'yt work anymore, I think they deleted it from their list lol. It's a special order type of thing, so I'll have to order it from the store here.

lol! xD. I think I'm gonna buy this! Thanks all for the help. smile.gif

what? lol I can still see that lens in their online catalog. It's a very very popular lens and I am sure every camera store has it.
Just go to their site and search for Canon lenses. Well that is it's a lot cheaper at Don's than if you buy it at your local camera store smile.gif .

Where you need the battery grip for? Imo the normal battery lasts so long on 400d that there is no need for a grip unless your going to some long trip

When I had my rebel XT I had to get a grip cause I felt the tiny grip by it self was really really unconfortable (yeah I have big hand) and it would hurt my fingers with medium/heavy lens.
Other than confort I found the battery life fine even with one battery, and just switching batteries is no hassle.

When im holding 400d i keep two of my fingers under the camera and i get a desent grip from it that way, but i can imagine that it doesent fit to meny eoples hands. Somehow i doubt that chantal has so big hands that she would need a grip to get desent hold of the camera tho.

I dunno if I have big hands... they're not tiny, tho.

Yeah, the handle is kinda uncomfortable with mine too... it's not that bad though, but I would like a vertical grip as well.

I actually want the grip for the grip itself... the vertical part especially. Very handy. The battery life is long, you are right on that part lol. I liked all features about it and felt like I wanted to get it. Still a bad idea maybe?

lol Well the XTI is a small camera even for people with normal sized hands and a grip also makes it easier to take pictures vertically instead of twisting your hand, well just as you said so I think it is a very good idea. I am not sure if I want to get a grip for my camera though because it's already the right size for my hands and adding a grip may would be too big and heavy for me unless I start working out lol.
