I think 6 pictures per post should be more than enough. It could be annoying sometimes that all of the sudden someone posted a comment before I could post more pictures.

Most definitely. This is a forum dedicated to showcasing photos, so why not make the limit bigger so the very purpose of the forum is made easier?
