lol I am not saying you are old age wise. Well I am glad that an experienced photographer like you are willing to share your knowledge with those of us who are still kinda new and I believe criticism and advice coming from people like you are more helpful than any tutorials I can find online smile.gif thanks!

Glad I can be of help, and don't worry, I'm an arsehole quite a lot of the time, but I'll try to keep the criticism constructive smile.gif

Just be a lot more selective with what you upload, don't just immediately upload loads, take some time looking at them all, picking out ones you think look good and then just upload those.
I've taken more than my fair share of badly composed photographs, I just know not to get immediately excited and upload them before I've though about it a while.

Haha - that's what I do! I tried to tell him that before, but he never listened. That's why the bandwidth exceeded more than once on his photo bucket accounts. Yes, accounts! Plural!

It depends really, but a good rule of thumb is that if the shadow doesn't add anything, try to avoid casting it in the frame.

Well, I've noticed that people have viewed the shadow differently, but you are so right on this.

Look at it again, doesn't it look like I'm holding a gun? I'm just missing the cow boy hat tongue.gif

haha well sorry that I didn't listen but I do not remember you telling me that I should choose more carefully what I upload or maybe you did? ohmy.gif lol Well from now on I will try really hard to stop uploading and posting almost every single picture I have taken and I will TRY to use only one of my photobucket accounts biggrin.gif. But I do have problem sometimes choosing what I want to upload it probably has something to do with my lack of talent or something lol. Oh well I guess I will try to learn by looking at the photos some of those pros post.

You know you really should try to retake that picture with you wearing a cowboy hat laugh.gif it would definitely look hilarious. It's like a cowboy standing in the middle of an empty street in the middle of the night with a gun in his hand biggrin.gif

I think it's kinda funny the way he talked about himself. Well it's like he was being humble in a funny way or something biggrin.gif
Calling yourself an asshole doesn't mean that everyone else would agree with ya tongue.gif

I hope you don't mind me posting this in your thread but it was soooo nice outside today and the sunset was just beautiful with very red clouds. As usual I couldn't take any pictures because I was sleeping for the most part of the day and then I had to work in the afternoon until now. I was really disappointed that I missed an opportunity to take a few shots of that beautiful sunset so I am kinda wondering if you have at least tried to take one or two pics of it? lol
