Yeah... I know xD Two days actually, but still ^^ I haven't been able to get my hands off of it xD Needless to say, my family are starting to get annoyed of me flashing 'em xD Really nice pics! smile.gif I really love the second one... for some reason I just totally gasped when I saw it haha.

thanks smile.gif Stockholm is quite beautiful during the summer that's one of the reasons why I decided to get my very first DSLR.
Have you tried to take pictures of your folks without flash? tongue.gif You could try with a combination of the widest aperture and high ISO depends on the lighting conditions.

Yeah. I have and I know ^^ Problem is, the lighting never gets as good as with the flash :/ and since my hands are so shaky I benefit from going flash + high shutter speed + high aperture + low iso.

lol why were your hands shaky? tongue.gif Did you drink alcohol or something? just kidding
Well you were the one who told me that your folks are starting to get annoyed because you were using flash too much while taking pictures of them. hahaha I am sure they would complain whole a lot more once you've got a real flash like those Speedlights. I have been blinded by those external flashes a few times before and my eyes was seeing uhh shadows several minutes afterwards ohmy.gif

Haha xD Nope, I'm naturally shaky :3 I'll have to remember to lock my camera at 1/200 on new years or we won't be seeing any shots at all xD And about the flash, It won't be as bad considering you can angle them opposed to the stock flash tongue.gif If you angle them upwards / to the side people won't get as blinded and the light looks much more natural .3

lol i stupidly thought id look directly into a flashgun at shot range, like you do, and all i could see for the rest of the day was a big blue shadow in the middle of my eyes!

oh, so you are using an external flash? because I don't think you can change the angle on the built in flash. lol 1/200 is quite fast and I think I usually only use a shutter speed that fast in broad day light. hmm so if your hands are naturally shaky how come you can play computer games I mean games like Quake and CS require steady hands to aim and shot tongue.gif

well I didn't do that to myself but it was someone else who pointed the camera with flash at me at very close range and pressed the shutterbutton lmao and you know it was just a Speedlight 430 EX II so I dont want to know what the even more powerful 580 EX would have done to my eyes hahaha it was fun though

ouch yeah.. dont even think of that!!

If im taking pictures of someone in low light i tell them not to look directly into the flash when its strobing, and tell them to look just below the lens when im taking the picture.

Noes tongue.gif I mean the horse-shoe flashes generally have the ability to direct where the flash emits as opposed to the built in ones just shooting straight on tongue.gif Not sure about the gaming thing ... I do miss lots of long-range shots like ones that I really shouldn't but I've always made up for it by my spray techniques happy.gif" That's why I take a very aggressive stand in games like cs. I push the opposing team to get them up close where I want them and force them to spray which usually ends up in me getting the kill tongue.gif Especially since a lot of cs players are really bad at spraying and get scared when you pop up in front of them.

oh lord. I have no idea what you are talking about since I have never played cs only seen people playing it at internet cafes tongue.gif sorry
Yeah that's what I actually tried to say. lol I mean you can tilt the flash thingy upwards so the light would hit the ceiling. lol I am so tired so I am probably typing gibberish right now biggrin.gif
