I just had a chance and I upgraded my Canon EOS 5D to a 1D mkIII... lol

Oh, and why did I do this?

#1 I got really pissed off at my 5D's AF last job...

#2 I had a chance to get it from a friend who ownes a photo store for a slight price difference (it's a Canon demo camera, still works perfectly though...).

BTW, my lens were all fucked up cause of the 1.3X crop so I had to excange the 24-70 with a 16-35 and the 85 1.2 with a 50 1.2

And... lol, the 60Mp slow ass camera is not for me...Even though it could be kind of cool I don't thing it would work out at concerts

hmm do you mean EOS1D has 1.3x crop sensor??? and what does that have to do with the L lenses? sorry lol I dont know much about these technical stuff

there are two 1 series bodies: the 1D and the 1Ds

The 1D is a sports camera: 10MP, 1.3X crop and 10fps, 45 focus points and retails for about 3k euros.

The 1Ds is a full frame 22MP camera, meant for fashion and landscape, retails for about 7k euros (wayyy to much).

I changed my lens cause the 1.3 crop fucked with the focal lenghs, I need a decent wide angle, a low light normal prime and a telephoto.

oh i see. thought all 1D have full frame sensors. wow for the same price for regular 1D id rather buy Nikon D700 no crop but I guess you needed the 10 fps of 1D mk3

I have thought about that but after playing for half a day with a D700:

#1 I have all canon glass and accessories

#2 I am not a fan of nikon's ergonomics

#3 The D700 has 2 things I don't like: in order to get that low noise, the camera applies MASSIVE noise correction (fucks up the detail and images are soft) and when you shoot 14bit files the D700 can only shoot 2.5fps...(the 40D can shoot 6.5fps @ 14bit).

#4 The 1D is a pro body, fully wheather sealed and really really really rugged. (the difference with the 5D is insane in both ruggedness and functions...)
