damn. I´m still very unsure about buying the 50mm 1.8. All the user reviews I´ve read so far tell me that its a poorly processed lens with huge problems with the autofocus. I mean....... it seems to reveal to me why it only costs a little over 100€ ~~
Cannot afford the 1.4 USM tho atm.

FACK WHAT NOW!?!?!?!

well but what if it turns out to be crap? then I´ll just be angry about the fact that I´ve blown out my money I guess.

the build quality is poor and the af is poor but the glass is very good and so is the price:

hmmm cant seem to find the old 50mm 1.8 model anywhere. I think I´ll buy the new one anyway, just found a 80€ offer.

You can probably get around that much if you sell it used anyway. Most lenses keep their price very well.

Good luck with that. I don't see myself buying any new camera gear anytime soon. Got too much software I need to buy.

Thank god I live in London and don't need to drive anywhere. It's stupidly expensive here as well.
